A little tip when changing oil. Get a piece of aluminum foil and shape one end over the exhaust outlet under the swing arm drain and the other end pointed at the drain pain. Kind of makes a half funnel and makes clean up a bit easier. You can do the same thing under the filter. | ||

Like the write up on changing engine oil. I searched for the write up on changing the tranny oil, but couldn't find it. I know, big surprise. Anybody want to post a link to it? | ||

Good luck finding my trans fluid guide. Oh, I don't recommend my fork oil replacement method. The way I do it is:

 I'm planning to wimp out on the fork oil change, ride until, oh, 20,000 - 25,000 miles, and then have a qualified tech do the forks AND the first spark plug change. I 'might' venture into a spark plug change on my own but only time will tell. I don't think I'll try your fork oil method, Froggy! (Message edited by buellerxt on May 21, 2011) | ||

The spark plugs are easy to change, getting the damn wire off and back on is the PIA. Rear rocker box is leaking oil on mine, probably means having to rotate the engine. I'd say this is the ideal time to change plugs.  |
