Two years ago I chimed in on this thread:
http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142838/472771.html

Last week I put on some new tires (horror story of its own, dealer incompetence and know-it-all mechanics, but this is a positive thread), decided to try the Ravens because I'm broke.

Last tire change 10K ago I was going to check the bearings but had difficulty trying to pull the seals, I couldn't get the dental pick between the lip and the inner race like I could with the NTN's so I said forget it. With 20K on them this time though I was more determined, tried the pick against the outer race instead and the seals popped right out.

Don't know what kind of grease is in there but it's still clean and in great shape, and plenty of it. Notice also on one side of two of the bearings is some sort of plastic cage or spacer, the NTN's didn't have that. I didn't feel the need to add any grease this time around, just cleaned up the seals and grooves and put a little on the lips to ease them back in.

Bearings still feel great when spun, I'm pretty happy at this point with Buell's change to the KBC's.

I got my replacement rear orange one's just as the black one's hit the market. My choice was new orange or wait three weeks or more for the black sealed bearings.

I guess I have about 25,000+ on the orange seal bearings this round so far.

Glad to see yours looking that good. Looks like no water is in there!

23k on the original orange front bearings, no issues.

18k on the black seal bearings I put in at 5k as PM, no issues.

Have a set (front and rear) in the operators tube just to be safe, but not looking like I'll need 'em anytime soon : )
