Just bought the comfort kit from American Sport Bike and some gaskets. Can't wait to try it out with the Vegas summer coming soon.

Love the "people" at American Sport Bike. Best service I've ever had with a company.

+1

I have a strong feeling our love of them will increase steadily over the next ~6 years.

We sure are blessed to have them around. Helping us to keep our Muell's running smoothly.

We just got a care package from American Sport Bike as well. They rock. Had everything in stock, ready to go. We now have two very happy Ulys with fresh fluids and new K & N filters.

Mnviking-
The comfort kit definitely helps in our awful FL heat, but what makes as much of a difference cutting down on the dreaded "Uly Leg" in stop n go traffic is my riding pants. If it still feels hot after the comfort kit install/reflash,give some riding pants a try.

My care package is coming on Tuesday. Can't wait. Any "need to know" tips for installing this comfort kit??

I haven't installed it but it seems the hardest parts are the "captured" nut falling out that hold the ECM in place and also getting the fan shroud into place can be a bit tough.

Plan on doing this later this summer.

Mnviking-

I'll ping Closetbueller to share comfort kit install helpful hints on this thread later tonight.

He's done two so far. I didn't hear too much cussing in the driveway for the first, even less for the second. B.

See above for ECM nut, attached the last on with the hot glue gun. Put the parts out in the sun to make them more pliable and just follow the directions as they are well written. Search for threads about the install, as there are some well documented installs there also.

That ECM bolt was a pain in the arse. Must of dropped it a half dozen times. Probably going to sound stupid here, but removing the darn battery for the first time sucked too. Wouldn't of guessed that.

That ECM bolt, or actually nut, can be easily re-attatched if you raise the rear of the bike and remove the bolts holding the shock in place. The shock won't drop out because the remote preload adjuster holds it in. But it gives you just enough room to get your fingers in there to put the nut on. I had to eventually remove mine anyway and relocate the ECM due to the seat putting too much pressure on the top plug and breaking the ECM.
Fltwistygirl, we need to meet for a Sunday ride. I know all the best roads within 75 miles of the Brooksville area.
