Maintenance time on the XT. Noticed the XT has been less snorty than usual, and have tracked dow the problem: end is broken off above listed cable  . Does anyone know the part number for above part? Hopefully will be replaced under warranty. Thank you! BeLinda. | ||

The 07 part number is S0137.1AA; I'd imagine it's the same for all years. | ||

Thank you! It's funny (well sort of funny, mostly sad really) that we just come to expect having to diagnose our Buell problems and figure out the part numbers before we even contact the dealership. Once again, badwebbers rock! BeLinda. | ||

"you'd find owning a Moto Guzzi hysterical" Guzzi's are cool, but oh my, no thanks, I know my limits. Love ducs and Aprilias too, but too much potential cost and hassle keeping them on the road in comparison to our snorty tractors and quirky little beemer. Before we got the Thruxton, he was eyeballing a 1963 or similar Bonnie. Project bike. I asked him, "what do you want it for: to ride it, or work on it?" Our next day off together, we were at the triumph/ducati dealership picking up a brand new, warrantied Thruxton. He decided his time was better spent riding, versus chasing parts. Someday he may not have a such a demanding job, but for now, that's where he's at. Any bike is gonna need maintenance. The beauty of these bikes is parts are generally ez to come by, we have badweb, and you don't need to read/speak italian (or in our beemers case, german), to figure it out! |
