06' Uly w/30k miles - This has happened twice in the same ride...first time when coming to a stop in traffic, second stopping at a light. Just a moment before coming to a complete stop it's almost like it re-engages for a split second putting power to the rear...both times it was enough to kick the rear to the point I felt it...then all fine.

Checked the primary...fluid level is fine.

Thoughts - is a simple clutch adjustment required or does this sound like something different?

All insight appreciated

Do you have the service manual?

Yes have the manual...wondering if I am heading down the right path...adjustment looks pretty straight forward...

My concern is it is something worse...and it fails at speed

You may want to do a search for broken clutch cover castings. I seem to recall a few broken castings.

my opinion- always start with the simple things. Spend an hour and do the basic maint:
oil and primary oil change
primary chain adjustment
clutch adjustment
clutch cable adjustment

then see how she is. This also gives you a chance to do some visual inspections.

Hopefully you are not having this issue with yours:

If so, good luck getting a new primary cover........

Go back to "what if" thinking pattern. I used to do it all the time. "What If" the chain breaks, the engine dies, the clutch won't disengage, etc.
Remember where the kill switch is? And ATGATT prior to that.

+1 on starting with the small stuff...

Took clutch inspection cover off and double checked...nothing seemed broken. Ran through the clutch adjustment process (pretty simple). Even before I put the cover back on and took it out it seemed to pull better. Took it out and it seems much better overall.

I will definitely be taking this over from the mechanic going forward.

Thanks for the insight.
