Ok I live in southern WI but have no trouble traveling to a great service person. I don't have a problem with my local dealer, it's just that when I have asked in the past to get my ecm reflashed thay acted like I was crazy so It still hasn't been done. I bought it new in '06. But now the engine light is comming on and going out at which seems random. It's also time to get the 10k service done. I know it's not alot of miles for an 06 but I have had some long trips on it (Boston, South Dakota) And I still love it. Thanks for all the help.

Hal's used to have some really good Buell techs and a race team. That was a while back, don't know if they're still there.......

LaCrosse HD did mine with good results, also had some warranty work done by them. Talk to Aaron the service manager, I used to work with him when he was a mechanic at another shop, he is good people and should be able to set you up.

Can't say enough good about Appleton HD/Buell.

They went above and beyond with some issues on my 2010 12X.....long after the shut down. Documented everything and were real straight forward with me. Also the dealership where Dave Stueve used to operate from and consequently my introduction to this forum and Buell mania.

Ukes in Kenosha or Hal's in New Berlin, both are excellent Buell dealers.

Ive always used Appleton Harley.

In fact I just took my Uly to them so they could verify a couple issues and order parts (base gasket, and front isolator), and it turns out they actually had EVERYTHING in stock and set up an appointment right away.

As far as your location goes though, Hals is still a hell of a dealer and they are still very Buell friendly.

Thanks guys. I do most things on my own it's just that the engine light comes on once in a while. I have rotated the engine on it to get my header ceramic coated and have a service manual...just no computer software or hookups. So I figured I would let a different dealer give it a once over.

I don't believe the 06 can be reflashed. I thought it was 08 and newer only.

LaCrosse Area H-D has been real good to me but I have only had one warranty issue so far. I have ordered a few Buell items and it only seems to take about 5 days for anything I have ordered. They still have the big Buell sign out by the highway and still answer the phone with "LaCrosse Area Harley-Davidson and Buell".

Hey Kip. I think most of the mechanics at Kutter would rather not service a Buell. A couple of them do, however. Did you talk to a guy that works on Buells or whoever was at the counter? I've never had a problem there.

Ed, yes thanks I never really had too much trouble but if I ask about something like a tps reset they look at me like I'm crazy. For a 10k service I've gotten quotes from around $250 all the way to $800 + They all claim to do the same things.

I had my 10k service done there. I don't recall the cost. It wasn't anywhere near $800 though. The dealership in Kenosha seemed big on Buells. They hosted Homecoming events in the past.

Kip, talk to Aaron at Kutter's. He seems to do most of the work on them.
