Hello,

I have just installed a Special ops muffler and realize it is too loud for the neighborhood. I love it, but the little old lady in her pink housecoat behind the garage might put a curse on me.

Is there an insert I can place in the outlets to quiet it down a few db? I have sourced a few from motorcycle superstore, I would like to know if you have tried one with the special ops muffler.

Cheers,

If you can't fix it the way you need it, I've got a spare stock can laying around...

Thanks Paint Shaker,

I appreciate the offer. I have a ebay special in the garage just in case I need to swap.

Cheers

Hi,

I'm not ready to sell yet. I want to see if there is a insert that someone has tried.

Cheers,

You're a good man, Torontobuell. Too many motorcyclists don't consider anyone but themselves when it comes to noise and it hurts us all.

Same thing happened to me. I went back to stock for a year. Then last fall I bought a Drummer. It's a lot deeper sound than the Special Ops. They make an insert to quiet it down. $60. Pop some ear plugs in and it's real quiet

Andre
How do you like the insert? I looked around the Drummer website and couldn't find any info

Try contacting Odie at Special Ops, well he is Special Ops, it's a one man show.

He has been working on inserts just for that.

I didn't buy the insert...yet. Just saw it on American Sport Bike's website. Says it effects performance.

Chief,

I've had the Drummer insert in mine for over a year. It can be removed easily but I like the sound way better and low end torque feels even better with it installed.

Kevin runs his with the insert himself and also likes it better.
