Now waiting for the ice, snow & mud to turn to dirt.

is there a purpose for that? Makes your fork seals last longer?

Yes. Keeps most of the dust, mud, crap out. I will be riding off the pavement a large percentage of the time this year.

The Pryor Mountains are big on the list.

Maximum, did those slide over the ends of the fork tube easily (remove the front wheel)?

I slide them from the top down...which was easy since I had to replace my leaky fork seals anyway. These also require that you cut the sleeves down to fit...which means that they cover the entire lower tube.

You can't really slide them from the bottom up, can you? Guess it's something I'd want to add when I'm changing fork fluid.

Maximum,
That photo was blurry. Did that thing say Foreskin/Mouse? That would be a mighty tight fit.

FYI
You can get these fork skins with a velcro seam so you do not have to disassemble the fork tripple tree to install them. I have them on my Uly & 1125CR. Easy install and they stay in place just fine. 10,000 miles on the Uly since installation.
