Hello to all! I just ordered a new left side frame puck and in need of some instruction on how to replace the stock puck. Unfortunately scuffed on a drop. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Rich D | ||

I recently replaced my puck. I was too worried about wrecking the paint so I didn't use any chemicals. I just slowly peeled it off using a dull plastic putty knife to get under the edge. It took me about 20 minutes in which the thing totally shredded. There may be an easier way, but at least going the slow route got the job done. Putting the new one on is simple, but make sure you've lined it up perfectly because once you've pushed it down, there's no peeling it off. | ||

I liked one suggestion recently that cited dental floss as a good puck remover. Tie off the ends to a piece of PVC or dowel and string saw away. | ||

If you can pull it away slightly on the top, saturate it with denatured alcohol or Googone, a Wallymart or hardware store item neither of which will harm the paint. WD-40 is also good for removing stickers, goo etc. Just make sure that you clean (prep) the surface before you install the new puck! | ||

U mean they are simply glued??? I had no idea. Makes sense though as the frame is pretty busy being a tank already... | ||

Yeah, they just stick on. One of mine got partially pulled off in a tip over and I just yanked it the rest of the way off. I used a heat gun to soften up the remaining stickum and it just peeled it off. Alcohol did the job on the small bits of goo that were left. | ||
