Just finished installing the SDC Heads-Up LED Voltage Monitor and noticed that when the fan is running and I apply the brakes the voltage drops into the amber/red area (listed as between 12 and 10 volts). Do I have a problem or is this normal? |

Mine only drops that low if fan is running AND I have bright headlight and auxiliary lights on at idle. If I bump the RPM up just a little (~100 RPM) or switch the auxiliary lights off, it'll go back in the green range. |

Thanks! It only happens at idle when the fan is on so I'm relieved. |

Wow. My 06 only drops that far if I'm at idle, with heated gear on, heated grips on, and fan running. Check your 77 connector, sounds like it may be starting to go wonky... |

Thanks, Ratbuell. I've got the upgraded 77 connector from American Sport Bike sitting on my desk waiting for a few spare moments of my time. I do have my turn signals (LEDs) connected through a Kisan Signal Minder as running lights and they flash when I hit my brakes. They shouldn't be drawing too much power since they're LEDs which is why I was worried (especially since I ride year round with heated gloves/vest and didn't have the heated gear on at the time). |
