anyone had experiences with an O2 fooler? my bike had one when i bought it. fouled the front plug 1 morning so i removed it. pot was set all the way ccw. starts rough now after sitting over night but runs better in general.

I don't recommend them, especially because they can cause issues like you experienced. An Erik Buell Racing race ECM is the best way to go if you want to improve the way the bike runs.

Now that you have it removed, clean (or replace) your plugs and reset your AFV. It should run like a new bike.

I've got one on my 09, it was an improvement on the stock lean condition. In warm weather I run it around 14.0 and drop it down to 13.8 in cooler weather. Running it all the way open is I think 14.3 way to rich. It helps with the rough idle and lean staggers but I think I'm going with the EB ECM as the ultimate rideablity cure.
