Hi, Wondered if anyone may help point me in the right direction here.

Bike runs OK, but periodically (about every 200-500 miles) the engine will cut out for a fraction of a second, warning light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off again.

Diagnostics show no error code.
New Plugs put in.
Timing done.
Dealer investigated & can find nothing wrong.

Any ideas anyone?

ECM is being reset due to a momentary loss of power, check that the seat isn't rubbing against the two large connectors to the ECM

Check your bank angle sensor under the seat, make sure it fastened tight..

Concur on checking the ECM connectors for rubbing and cracked connectors. I've gone through two of them and have now relocated the ECM. Guess my chunky bod is just too much for the seat pan.

Would the ground to frame connection under the seat have an effect also? This has been known to have problems, but I`m not sure if it would cause engine cut out.

Also, check the wire harness where it passes from the front "module" (to some a headlight bucket) to the frame, at the steering head.

Look closey at the ECM bundle coming off the ECM and look for little nicks. More common on the 9s (with no room under the seat) than the 12x, but the symptom is right.
