2006, second owner and 15k on it now. It is left outside all the time and I clean it (comes up like new) once a year.

Must have mods. Better fork oil, front/rear brake pads, FST, ECM-SPY (so no need to pay Buell) and rubber. Clutch boot top cable tie.

Useful mods. Open air box, K&N air filter, can, fuller and clutch span adjuster. Tourtech pegs and rear brake/gear levers.

Things a base bike needs. 6K to run in, rear subframe Earth point clean, 2.5k miles oil changes up to say 6k miles, copper grease axles and proper suspension set up.

Faults on my bike. Subframe Earth point and corrosion to the engine cases/back end section painted areas and front engine mount. R/H flasher does not always work right.

Failed parts. On my third belt. Front wheel bearings at 12k and rears at 15k. 8k on PR2s. Pads depend on how you ride the bike as does rubber.

Bike pros. Good on gas and insurance. Comfy for rider and pillion. Handles and brakes very well. Easy to maintain. Fair build quality. The engine. Belt drive. Clear and basic controls. Easy to mod. Commutes/tours and even thrashes well.

Bike cons. Its bit tall for some. Its not an off road bike. A bad smash will kill the frame but most of all Hardy Dogbone themselves for there very bad support of Buell bikes.

You all should be ashamed of yourselves for what you have done with Buell.
