Wow, impressive that you are out riding in mid-feb, Charlie Zulu. I used to play on 70 - 175 cc dirtbikes when there was still snow on the ground, but don't think I'd quite be comfortable on my uly in that stuff.

We're heading back up to MN this summer, I'll pm you when we arrive. Hoping I'll be able to break away for more riding this year than last.

Do that. Always looking to ride.

Great food at Betty's! Worth a cold ride.
I would love a group ride up in the North shore area when a tad warmer.

"Up to 40"

Brr. Around here ridership drops way down when it gets down to 40 in the mornings. Once into and below the low 30's, the only folks taking bikes are those whose cars/trucks won't start, although I confess I've done the commute more than once on mornings like that. My wife tells me that I've got a screw loose on days like that, but then again she's told me that for years anyway, so who believes her?

I'm not too familiar with all the strange white stuff on the sides of the road, though. That's like that frozen water stuff that falls from the sky in places, right?

Good pix.

I got out and rode the other day here in the Omaha, NE area. But, it was over 60 degrees and sunny. Rode the 97' Electraglide. A couple of days before I rode my son's 07' ULY to the gym and then later took it far enough so that the fan operated at shutdown. My 06' Uly's rear tire has a flat and it is just plain worn out. In just a few minutes I'm taking the back wheel over to a friend with a No-Mar and we're changing out the PR2 to a new PR2 that I picked up at last Homecoming at Erik Buell Racing for 50 bucks plus shipping. He is expecting me at 8 am this morning so I'd better move it. I'm also thinking about getting that 2010 rear wheel and axle combo. What do you guys think, should I do it??

I eagerly await those 60 degree days... While I have now become proficient in changing out rear wheel bearings,I'm going to go with the 2010 wheel before I head North to Alaska.

Although my '06 probably would have been fine w/ the stock back rim, upgrading to the '10 has given me more confidence, especially with a passenger on longer rides. I can concentrate more on the ride and less on "was that vibration/noise from the rear bearings or was it the road surface"? I have occasional OCD flair-ups when it comes to safety issues, even more so w/ pillion.
I've not been on ADV for a while but will check it out.

I took my first ride of the year yesterday evening. It was 35 degrees out. I rode about 55 miles. Felt great. Still some snow left from the blizzard.

I feel bad that I can't contribute to the thread, but the only bike I haven't had out since new years is the M2L... It's been cold here in Maryland, but fairly precip-free and dry. Heated clothes go a long way to making bikes four-season units : )

Here in St. Louis it was in the 70's last Thursday and I rode the Uly to work. We went from single digits to the 70's in a week! Yesterday I finally got my Geezer Glide back together and rode it. Man it feels great to ride again!! Today rain and high of 45 and getting colder all week. Oh well, it was a nice reprieve anyway!
