After seeing Tankhead's post about he and his daughter, I got extremely jealous of their matching gear.
Ive been to every dealer and outlet and havent found any decent riding gear for my daughter Grace who is 8.
We ride as much as mom will allow, (Grace loves getting dropped off at school by the way)
We ended up with Grace in a pair of wranglers and a winter Carhartt jacket.
I feel like an ass cuz Im in my Revit! gear totally covered.

Anybody know where to get good quality gear for kids?

Thanks

Dave-

So great that you are introducing your young one to the fab sport of motorcycling! And kudos on wanting good gear!

We've been carting our "little" man on the back of a bike since he was 5, but we have a huge advantage--he is jumbo sized. He is 11, but wears men's boots now and clothes now. He eats, well, what ever he wants!!

We were able to start putting him into XS adult stuff in 2008. You may have some luck with XS womens gear, depending on sizing of the brand. New enough (they have a different name now) and Dennis Kirk are good sources for reasonably priced gear as long as you are ok with last seasons color schemes. Yea, didn't think that was an issue : ).

Looks like she has a FF helmet, make sure it fits properly. Should not be able to roll it around her head and if not new out the box, know the history of it (not crashed, not dropped)

Boots-any over the ankle should suffice. I preferred heavy leather with zippers not laces for our son.

Bad web has/had a pay it forward type deal for gear, etc., may still have it.

If you find some great source for little people gear, please share. I occasionally get some petite flowers in my classes who want to dress like riders, not hoochie mamas!

Good luck and safe riding! BeLinda.

I let her watch the tv version of Kill Bill with me the other night and now she wants to ride a motorcycle and carry a Hattori Hanzo sword like Beatrix Kiddo!

http://www.MotorcycleGear.com is the new face of New Enough.

I've purchased several FirstGear summer and winter riding 'outfits' for DW (she won't let the DLD's, 11 and 13, on the bike yet) there and I don't think I've paid more than $50-70 for any item. I typically only shop their sale stuff, thus the low prices.

FirstGear stuff typically runs small so an XS in FG might get you close. HJC helmets in the XS/S range tend to run small also.

I was able to find small womans gear that is fully armored and fits my daughter that was on sale. This is a great time of the year to find this stuff on sale.

Our daughter has been riding since age 8. We started with HD leather chaps until she got to the point of wearing ladies XS gear. http://www.motorcyclegear.com has been a good source of gear for us. We've also had good luck at the Honda dealerships in their dirtbike apparel section for boots and gloves.

Not sure what is left in the Pay It Forward Section, but you will find it in with the BRAN. You must be signed in to see it.

Good luck and keep the kids safe while riding! I think we need to start a thread on QB of riding with our kids!

I finally found the picture of Carlee and M2nc for their C3 Jr. Ride in 2006. She was 11 at the time. Joe Rocket pants and jacket and over the ankle boots. All the girls had a great time that weekend.
