Finally got around to finishing the comfort kit install and came up with an easy solution to the dreaded ECM nut access problem.
I made a groove around the circumference of the nut (about in the middle of the hex) with a hacksaw. Then drilled 2 small holes in the trunk pan next to the slot that holds the nut. Wrapped a short piece of .032 safety wire around the nut (not all the way around, just covering 3 to 4 flats) and led the ends through the holes (they are next to the shock reservoir) and twisted the ends together to put tension on the nut, holding it in place. The original slot or well still keeps the nut from turning, the safety wire just keeps the nut from falling out of the well. Also didn't use the new screw with the patchlok on it. The old screw worked just fine. No worries of it coming out.
Sorry no pics, didn't think of it until I was finished and it can't be seen.
