I need a new rear tire for my 09 XT.
I got 11,000 miles out of stock Diablo.
Front has plenty of tread left. How is the Angel?
Should match up fine with a Diablo front, right?
Do angels and devils play nice together?

...anybody with that combo?
Should I try to get another Diablo rear?

too many questions?

If you got 11k out of it...and didn't dislike it...why change?

Just to say you did?

Is the Diablo even available anymore?

Yeah I dont think they are readily available. However I could probably find one if I really tried.

But if the Angel is the latest and greatest Ill just use one of those.

Thats why I am looking for feedback.

Dang...I just replaced my original rear Diablo at 4800 miles. If it went 11,000 for me I would buy another!

Mine is at around 15k and has some more life in it, I'm guessing about 3-5k more.

Okay what pressure's are you running?

18+K out of a tire? You do go faster than 60 right? I know your like maybe a buck forty but 18??? Damn.

45psi, 55ish-mph, 5'9" 180lbs+gear. I get twice the normal tire life from all my bikes. 7000 miles on Corsa III tires on the 1125CR, which most people get 1500-3500 miles on. 7000 miles on the Blast scooter tires which most get 3000 on. But to date my best is 15,000 on Scorpion Syncs, it still had some highway life in them but they were useless if you wanted to turn.

Angel works well on the rear with the stock Strada on front. I hit the same situation last summer with a rear Strada being hard to find. And when I did finally find one it was more expensive than an Angel.

Lloydxt, I hope I did not offend you with my last posting. I,too,am interested in finding a Diablo to replace my stock rear tire but am not willing to pay a premium for it. If the Angel is less expensive, I would probably just use that. I only have 5200 miles on mine and I am planning to replace it soon, maybe another 1500 miles left on it at most.

Froggy, you must really baby the throttle to get that kind of mileage out of a rear tire. I know I am bigger and heavier than you and that will increase wear somewhat. I can't imagine just putting around slow like that on a Buell? I don't ride all that hard but I do love the acceleration of my Uly. I can hardly wait to try my new Erik Buell Racing ECM but I assume my tires will die even sooner.
