Erik Buell Racing might want to sponsor a 2011 Homecoming for the simple reason that they could sell a bunch of stuff. And it keeps the Buell Faithful faithful, it gives us a destination to ride to and generally Homecomings are a good time for all who attend. It doesn't have to be anything expensive, I'd just as soon save a buck by camping and it could coincide with some racing up at Road America. In fact, it could be up a Road America since that is a pretty neat area and there should be camping nearby and hotels. Erik Buell Racing wouldn't really have to incur any expenses since they would just be a focal point for our yearly Homecoming. I'm sure they could come up with a nice 2011 Erik Buell Racing Homecoming t-shirt for Buellers to buy. Anybody think Erik Buell Racing might like this idea? A bunch of ECM's would be sold and installed. We maybe could gander at the 1190 bike that he plans to market. Erik Buell and the Thunderbirds could play a gig for us. Why end on the 2010 Homecoming when this easily could keep going and be less formal. Maybe Erik Buell Racing could put up a big tent like they used to at Road America and this could be funded by Buellers planning to attend. Please chime in. |

I'd be very surprised if Erik Buell Racing "sponsored" a Homecoming. They have a pretty full plate as it is, on a skeleton crew and a penny budget. However...I'd be just as surprised if they didn't welcome the faithful with open arms, should we all decide to descend on East Troy at some point. As long as somebody calls first |

I've never been to a bad Homecoming . . . I mean the one in 1988 was small, but it was fun. It was easy when a case of beer was plenty for the entire "crowd".

>>>Roughly home many attendees at the 2010 Homecoming? I forget what the registration numbers were but I think it was on the order of 500 perhaps. It was another great crowd. I think they drank more than a case but the guys laying in the parking lot didn't answer when I asked. |

I went last year and would love to go again this year. When it happens will determine whether I can make it or not though, as I have some obligations already scheduled. I sure hope it works out. |

You can pretty well bet on that first weekend in June. My bet is that there will be plenty of things to do Thursday. . . more on Friday and then you can almost be certain that the Buell folks will be gathering at Road America. Just guessing . . . In all candor . . . Kinda like The Who's in Whoville . . I'm not sure you could STOP Buell Homecoming from coming . . |

Court, it's getting late to be starting the planning of this years event. Who's going to step up to the plate and make this year's Buell Homecoming 2012 happen? somebody!!! anybody!!! what's it going to take to make Buell Homecoming 2012 happen? It's starting to get late and we really need this event to continue! |

Never been to the homecoming but it sounds like fun. All of the badweb people should get a sticker made up with our profile name(me being Uly Dude) and stick it on the back of the bike so we can identify each other while there(corny I know). Also, a swap n sell meet would be useful. I know I've been gathering lots of extra parts that some other Bueller may want, and maybe there's something in someone else's garage that I might want. Or maybe it's just easier to do this in a virtual manner online.... |

I have could not make it last year because of a conflict with a family vacation at same time, and before that I wasn't aware of them as I am sad to say I did not own a Buell yet. That being said, if there is one this year, I plan on attending. |

Craig, Call Erik and ask if Thur. or Fri. works for him? As of now, I plan on being in East Troy on Wed. to set up camp at Country View Campgrounds and get a bite at Gus' Drive-in. HC 2011 (June 1st - June 4th) I'll leave on Sunday like last time. Is anyone with me? If we all show up, it's HomeComing! |

The Buell Homecoming demise is greatly exaggerated. BrewCity Thunderbikes wont be doing it, as it takes up far too much of our time at the meetings. We're planning on doing it the weekend of the AMA races at Road America, which is June 3rd through the 5th. http://www.roadamerica.com/Races/RaceInformation.a sp?id=240 We've talked with Erik Buell Racing, and have a few things planned.... Thursday ride to Great Lake Dragaway in Union Grove for some drag racing... Friday, a ride around the southern Kettle Moraine area. And visit to Erik Buell Racing.... Saturday, a ride to the AMA races at Elkhart Lake. Right now, there is no formal dinner planned. But we were thinking of doing an informal thing at Romas http://www.romaswi.com/ It wont be as "planned" as last year. Rocco and Dana did an OUTSTANDING job. And I, and the rest of us locals just don't have the time to commit to such a large event. Any thoughts, suggestions? |

Roma's is where we all gathered for Pizza and drink last year. Pizza was pretty lame there but I can sacrifice if that is the consensus. |
