Anyone have any sources for them yet? I understand that they're to make it across the water soon, but no Pirelli source or outlet store will confirm.

.... and btw, a great New Year to all.

You can put the 190 on your bike without any problem. I burned up a set this year and waiting for the spring to put on a new set. I kept the Synchs so when I burned up the Trails I just put the Synchs back on until March when I put a new set of Trails on. I only got 6,000 miles of the rear because my Girl has a few pounds to lose and 600 miles of draggin pegs with her on the back along with three days of gear. They rail the corners, never thought my Touratech 41 liter bags would drag, but they do.

as of today, the 180's are on the US Pirelli website, but the two distributors they link to don't have them in their on-line catalogs yet.

I do not wish to turn this into another tire discussion, so brand name aside, did you see anything good/bad re: the 190 vs the sync 180? Thanks
You might consider that apples to oranges and if so that is fine.

D.U.: How would you compare the Trails to the Syncs? I really like the syncs on the Uly. But there is something about the trails that makes me want to try them out. But I'm curious how they actually feel on the bike.

I have a set of scorpion trails with a 190 for the rear I am gonna put on soon. But I am gonna have to wait for $$ to get them put on or take the wheels off myself (when it's above 40 deg)
When I eventually get them on... I will post something.

I was pleased as a pig in poop with the Trails. I discovered that the 41 liter Touratech panniers are not mounted high enough. They grip the road great, I drug my bags if I wasn't paying attention. They seem tougher also, taking them off road and never had a blow out which was my concern with the synchs. I didn't notice any negative handling characteristics switching to a 190. The rear tire is a dual compound tire. When you really cook them you can see the border between the two compounds. Never felt the switch between the compounds in the corners though, and they last atleast 6000 miles of hard driving unless your girl friend is not thin and have the bags full draggin the pegs. The only reason I put the synchs back on was to get me through the winter. Going to order another set of the Trails next month. Going to experiment with the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's on my Triumph Sprint ST 1050 this year. I have a two month cycle break in April to May so plan on doing alot of mile on all three bikes then. Sooo, to make a short story long, should have a good tire wear report then.
