I modified the inserts on my t-rex rear stand this week. The bike would not reliably stay on the stand with the original round rubber cushions. Watch out if you have these stands as the round rubber cushion will slowly roll right past the little bump on the bottom of the rear swing arm and the bike will drop to the ground. I was lucky and was using a second person to lift the bike when this happened. We caught the bike before it could tip over. I purchased a 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 12" square rod of delrin from McMaster-Carr for about 15 bucks and cut these from it. I used a 7/8" and a 1" wood bit from Home Depot to counter-bore then drill through the material. The spacer is cut from a piece of 5/16" heavy wall tubing that I found laying around. It is cut slightly shorter than the pipe on the t-rex insert. The screws were cut down from 3" x 10-32 screws. The square delrin pieces can rotate freely when the screws are tightened. These catch nicely on the little bump on the bottom of the bikes rear swing arm and don't seem to have an inclination to roll off. I'll be changing my first tire on this bike in a few days and want to make sure all goes well. I hope this might help someone else.

It looks like a solid job. I would use a Ny-Lock nut myself to stop turning forces unwindind the back nut. The swing arm is designed for cup mounts like this type.

I would not trust either of them though and use a cable tie on the front brake lever, to lock the front wheel, just in case. The bike can not go any place then. Nice and safe.

here's a minor adjustment to your tie-wrap approach -

the 6" or so-long velcro straps which come with laptop & other devices' power transformer cords

I use these 'gimmee' items often.....

I assumed it was common knowledge that you could use a floor jack under the muffler at the jacking points front or rear. I have used this method numerous times once in a parking lot (flat tire) on the side stand. Works great!

I use one of these, under the muffler -

Found a PDF for the half-round cut-outs to cradle it.
Ran a 1" wide piece of weatherstrip for grip, very stable work platform, both wheels free in the air.

Dunno where I filed that dammmmmed PDF tho.
