Anyone that's been riding these have any updates? There was a thread back in May ( http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/563398.html ) and I see that they are back on sale for around $170/pr. |

I really like them. I just put my 2ND rear on not to long ago. I think I got about 8000 out of the first one. The front is still good to go. They stick pretty good Did the Dragon a few times around Buelltoberfest loaded down with gear with no problems... but I wasn't being stupid either. I would buy another set |

They appear to be around $170/pr at both Competition Accessories and Motorcycle Superstore. Thanks for the update. I may just grab a set and hold on to them at that price. That's about what I was quoted for a replacement Scorpion Sync front tire. |

for a daily driver like my Uly they are great. Now my TT is something I ride a little on the dumb side so I like a better grade of tire. It puts my mind at ease I guess because they cost more.... not to say they are any better... but I find I have more testicle mass with high end tires and full gear on.. I have a new set of Angels waiting for the TT |

They are cheap and stick very well. Only thing I have against them is mileage. This is my rear with 3k miles.

I do mostly freeway miles and they seem to drift a little like the D616's. I've tried tweaking tire pressures and suspension settings but no luck. They do hold just fine in the twisties though... |

Mark, I found Angels for $240 for the pair at compacc.com and was eyeballing those and the Michelin PR2s (also about $240 for the set). I'm gonna sleep on this one. Living in Fla, the bulk of my riding isn't in the twisties and I'm not peg draggin often. |

The PR2 is an awesome tire for treadlife and wet grip. Would be perfect for FL. I got a contimotion on the way home from Buelltoberfest when I blew a worn out 616. Good tire, stuck very well on the Blue Ridge Parkway on the way home and was very neutral. Tipped in nicely and was very predictable. But I run only 616 on my Uly, so the Motion (with 500 miles or so) is on a shelf waiting for the CR to need a new shoe. |

I was doing some looking around a while back and saw that Conti is supposed to come out with a Road Attack 2 sometime in the spring. it's still a single compound tire, but the center is supposed to be cured different making it a little "harder" that the edges. I didn't see any kind of release date. |

$170 is dirt cheap. I wish we could buy them in the UK, about $248, at that price. Another of the things I love about the Uly is that you can choose how to ride it. Like you can be easy on the bike, but not slow, and it will still be good on rubber/fuel. But you can also hammer it like a sports bike, not top end though, but you pay a bit more on fuel/rubber. I have always found my sports bikes to cost on fuel/rubber even if taking it easy. I have had Scorps and Corsa 3s but the best have been Pilot 2CTs. The only reason I changed my rear at 7k was because of a bad puncture. If it had been as worn as Yjsrules tyre it would, but not legal in the UK, have gone on to 10k plus and I do not hang about. Its such a great bike. You can even get your knee down on a track. (Message edited by uly_man on December 31, 2010) (Message edited by uly_man on December 31, 2010) |
