I just installed a set of the knock adjustable "billet" levers from China. I got them off Ebay for $25 plus $17 shipping. Took 3 weeks but they installed in a minute and look and feel really nice. The best part is that I have OEM spares to carry. I dont want to start a China junk versus the real thing argument just my opinion of the parts in case other want to buy them. BTW they match the wheels nicely (made in China)

Who were they from, Shine Trust Company?
Are they the ones that also can be adjusted for short or long?

I been thinking of getting a pair for my (other bike) but never meet someone that tried them.

Towpro, I did get them from Shine company and they are the shorties, not adjustable for length but do adjust for throw. They are very nice and smooth as butter. I will let you know how they hold up over time. I would say go for it.

The shine company only lists them for 08, 09, and 10 model years. Anybody know if they will fit my 06 Uly? Tired of buying $40+shipping levers from the Motor Company.

I only found the brake lever from Shine available. Have a question in to fatasshan (his screen name) regarding the clutch lever and combined shipping. Will update when I know something.

All years of the Ulysses, X or XT take the same levers, correct?

I believe the levers are different for the ZTL2 (8-piston) setup vs the 6-piston version. But, I have no proof of that, only hearsay.

Jandj_davis, That's correct, but the Ulysses' didn't get the ZTL2 system to my knowledge.

I wrote to tobyching and got this response:

The supplier may have them, but I am not sure. Please find out the Pazzo numbers of the levers that your bike need, and I can ask the supplier to see if they have them. Thank you for your inquiry. Toby

On this site, http://www.pazzoracing.com/guide.html, I found this:

Ulysses XB12XT 2009 F-21/B-55)
Ulysses XB12X 2009 (F-21/B-55)
XB12 all models up to 08 only 2004-2008 (F-21/B-55)

so they all look the same but it is odd that only the 2009 Uly is listed. Anyone buy them for a 2007?

Thanks

They should all be the same. SOmetimes they change part numbers because one is black and the other bare aluminum or semi-gloss. 03-09 XB calls for the same numbers.

I ordered a set of black shorties. Hopefully they'll fit.

I going on the assumption that they broke out the 09-10 Uly's because they are the only models that did not go with the ZTL2 brake system.

at one point recently I saw one of the cheap lever sellers offering both a choice of lever color and adjuster color. Have any of you seen that lately?

Just a side note, but when you get these you'll notice that they don't have bushings in them. Make sure to lube them up good with some grease prior to installing. I bought two sets for the bikes and other than the lack of bushings, they work well.

Prowler, did you get the ones that "swing" when you crash? I saw them and liked the fact I can adjust the length, but the "swing" feature worried me. I fear that the pivot point will start to move on it's own over time. Every time you pull in the clutch it might try to "swing".

Nope, got the ones that just adjust for lever reach. They were like $43 shipped on E-bay. The long ones were received with no bushings included, the short levers arrived with bushings, but the bushings would not work with the stock pivot bolts so were installed without. Seem to be good quality levers, but would have been better with bushings installed.

If they get sloppy bushings can be added later. You just cant beat the price, will keep all posted on the reliabilty.

Worthwhile to bore the hole out and add new bushings now? I'll be adding the shorties, and, if it's a sooner or later deal, it makes sense to do it before the install.
Or, any thoughts on a thinner pivot bolt?

I don't believe that there's enough material around the hole to add much more than an .03" bushing in there, at the most. I'm hoping that with a little grease every now and then, they'll last quite a while.
