I've grown tired of repacking riveting my Jardine muffler, so I bought a Firebolt muffler for my Uly. It installed perfectly and everything works fine except for one problem. When the kickstand is in the up position, the tip of the kickstand hits the middle of the muffler tip. I must imagine this is due to the extra suspension of the Uly and need for a longer kickstand. I put a zip tie on the kickstand, so it no longer hits the muffler tip, but it still sits right in the path of the exhaust.

What do you guys think? Do you see any problem with the exhaust constantly blowing on the kickstand tip? Do you have any recommendation on another kickstand or modification to the stock kickstand to move it out of the exhaust path?

I did the similar thing with a stock lightning exhaust, at the end with a bit of patience and a good metal cutter (dremel works good but the disc will be chewn away really fast) I used it for maybe one year with no issue at all except a bit of carbon deposits and toe kickstand.

cool, thanks. I rode about 200 miles today and the exhaust didn't seem to cause any problem to the kickstand.
