I just installed a set of Palmer brackets. I know I am but these things are amassing. How did I ride so far with out them. I got them installed with a couple other farkles and took the general for a ride. OMG what a different a lot less noisy, no buffeting and less wind on my chest. It was a lovely rainy 38 deg right before dusk and I only got a short test ride on the highway mostly 70 a little 80 and two short burst to the ton. What a difference you can hear the engine much better now. Not just my Special Opps exhaust, but the two slugs between my thighs sucking air and fuel, the explosion of this intoxicating mixture, the roar of the intake. she don't sound like no HD any more. I think the bike is faster now; )

I know what you mean. Just put a set on my new bike last week. Had it all the way up and all the way back. Just adjusted it to mid point and it was even better!

I know what you mean. When I installed the brackets on my bike my mpg's went from 42 to 68. Top speed increased from 125 to 162 and rear tire wear increased to around 18,000 miles. The brackets really are amazing.

Not pleased with mine at all. Since I installed them, we've had two feet of snow over an inch of ice, single digit temps, and now rain/snow for the next few days.

Net results:

Top speed = 0 mph
Mpg = infinity

Yeah - hate mine. It deflects the cold, wind as well as all the road debris & bugs. I dont feel the freedom anymore. Plus the bugs are all distorted from impact - thus no longer suitable for collection. Sending mine back.

I hate the mind numbing silence and the ability to hear the constant drone of the engine behind mine. I also hate the stillness of my helmet with it. Its like the damn thing wants me to be lulled to sleep. Should have kept the minivan.

I absolutely love my Palmer brackets with the stock XT shield. Probably the best accessory I have installed on my bike yet.

We received 16 inches of snow over the weekend and lots of wind. On my way to work this morning I heard we have -5 degrees and 28 below zero wind chill. Needless to say, my bike is in storage until further notice.

I hate 'em so much I put a set on my Tiger too. The Palmer windscreen is just as crappy as the brackets. Too thick & distortion free. Also doesnt shake as much as my flimsy ZG. How is one to know if the Uly is running, unless things shake & vibrate ??!!
