Can the right mirror be used on the left and vice versa? Please be gentle with the smart comments.....

The OEM lollipop units have the same number stamped/cast in to the plastic and the mirrors rotate freely on the stalk when they are loosened.

I would guess they are the same units, just need to be tweaked and turned for L or R duty when installed.

another mirror question; is it possible to tighten up the mirror to the stalk? I have one mirror that starts to sag under freeway speed, and the other one is rock solid. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to tighten it up. Thanks.

While I never tried it, I don't see why it wouldn't work. I doubt one is reverse threaded.

Just get the Tuono mirrors. They look so much better.

Yes, they are reversible.

I have tightened the head to the stalk with a bit of threadlocker dripped in there, in the past. Either that, or get it where you want...and superglue it.

Or...throw CR mirrors on there : )

(and yes, that's a mountain bike water bottle cage on the left mirror)

RB,
And just out of curiosity, how is it that you drink from that water bottle with a full face on?

Thanks for the advice Joe. I was afraid of an answer like that. There must be some sort of internal knuckle that wears out in there. I haven't really warmed up to the looks of the CR mirrors, though I like the integrated signals idea. Are my eyes deceiving me, or are you riding around without a windshield on your bike?? Greg

By stalk are we talking about the bar that leads up to the actual mirror? Or, you may be talking about the actual mirror connection.

I have had trouble with both mirrors coming loose and swing around, and to fix that I tried to tighten the elongated nut but to no avail. Try taking the "Stalk" off being careful not to gaul the threads "there a little weak" you will find a dohicky around the stalk. I just put a couple rounds of electrical tap and reinstalled. No problems since. Actually I think you were talking about the other option. I don't know how to keep you mirrors from drooping at speed, but I have the tsm and I will try to remember to look up the procedure for you. All: If you read this sorry for waisting your time.

You are correct. No windscreen in that pic, the air is cleaner for some reason for me. Body shape, size, whatever...

Currently, though, it's cold...and the bike has its CeeBailey windshield on it now. Little noisier, but I can ride in the 30s without having to fiddle with a neck gaiter.

For the mirrors...I think its either a spring, or a screw. Problem is, the only way to access it/them is to remove the mirror glass.

Let me know how that works out for you!

HUH ??!! left & right mirrors interchagable ?? Perhaps my dyslexia or ADD is acting up - but I dont see how that can be. Unless you want them angled inboard (towards the windshield) instead of outboard. I would think that would impair ones rearview - unless one wants to look at their shoulders. Explain this to me again...
