Have you thought about selling the baby?

In 1991 I sold my 4 year old 1987 CBR1000 "Hurricane" (first model year) because we just had our first child and wanted to pay off some bills. I got less than half of what I paid new...which didn't pay off as much as my wife and I had hoped. Ever since then I wished that I had never sold it...was a great bike!

Keep the ULY. Pare down to state mins on insurance. If you sell, you will regret. Tell your wife to get rid of something that is dear to her. Man up.

"Tell your wife to get rid of something that is dear to her. Man up."

You can buy a lot of Uly for what child support costs these days if she unloads you.
Know the feeling, had to sell my 1957 Triumph when the first one came along way back when. We bought a king size bed with the proceeds. Much better ride over the long haul.

its not the wife or even the new addition to the family .i am 43 years old 6 bikes .when i first baught the uly i really thought it was the perfect bike for me .i have had it just over 2 years i ride everyday 150 miles a day but here on the gulf coast there is very few roads that are not straight.i really like riding off road .but again florida has mud and sand .i have dirt bikes but i hate trailering .my wife has a car but i only go the 2 wheel route .so i went and test road a gs and fell in luv with it .so 2 months and 8,000 miles later the buell sits dusty in the very front of the garage .even the dirt bikes stay home most of the time .with the baby coming the money could go towards the family thing seeing my wife puts up with the hours and somtimes days i am out riding and exploring the forests around the southeast

Lose one Bueller but gain another when it sells. Somebody will get a very nice bike, especially with the mods you've done. Take care.

IIRC, this is the third time I've read of someone here going to a BMW 1200 GS from a buell.

Looks like that might become the go-to bike for Uly owners wanting to buy newer.

You might try this link to search CL. Asking prices don't necessarily equal sales prices. Good luck.
