I have an 06 Uly. Stock ECM, K&N filter.
I am trying to buy a D&D muffler for the bike. (I've had two XB9s's with D&D's- so i know what to expect sound wise) But...

What am I going to need to complete the install?
exhaust straps, remap, breather reroute, etc?

I own the ECM spy but am smart enough not to use it. I'd gladly pay for assistance in this matter.

please and thanks

Breather re route is a good option, exhaust straps not needed it comes with one way stronger than the stock ones.

Remap for sure, speak with AL from American Sport Bike, i bought maps from him and it was the best option, they are worth it, and i didn't plan on spending months riding to adjust the maps.

Is there anyone in or around Asheville that has any desire to help with an install and tuning?

I'll try to make it worth it.

I just got the old exhaust removed, fairly straightforward. now what do I do with the box on top of the airbox that controls the valve in the muffler?

leave it there, and either:
1) leave the cable attached, with the bottom end tied up somewhere out of the way, or
2) remove the cable alltogether.

Either way, if you just leave the controller plugged in, it will still move and the computer will think it is still functional and no check engine light!

Yournamehere ,

Call Odie at Special Ops. I traded with him awhile back. Gave him a deal he had to take. It only had 75 miles on it. Complete kit with bracket and clamps. All the Chin faring mounts were adjusted to fit correctly. I bet he can hook you up.

Ok. Got the D&D installed. Cable removed from the airbox valve thingy. K&N cleaned. Rode 25 minutedat 2750RPM. Feels ok. Mid range is rowndy. Lost a lot at the bottom end though it feels.

Does anyone know of an appropriate fuel map/ecm program from xoptiinside. com?

I'm using the factory/NONrace ecm

please and thanks
