Well I'm here! Well, 60 miles away anyway. We had rain last night and again this morning. Might be a little more tomorrow morning, HOWEVER, the rest of the weekend is sunny with a high in the mid 70's and lows in the 50's. Looks like a great weekend ahead. We rode Warwoman rode and 28 north of there. The new PR2's feel great as I knock the rust off my riding skills!

TWO, (two wheels only) campground, Suches GA. Just watched the latest weather and the lows will be in the 40's now.

I'm headed up tomorrow as soon as I can get 2 bikes loaded in my truck. We're staying fairly close by at "the Resort at Copperhead" (site of the earlier "April Buell's Day"). We're actually staying most of next week too. I'll be glad for some cooler temps & much twistier roads.

Gregory- 28 is an awesome road all the way from Walhalla, SC to Deal's Gap itself. Warwoman is pretty cool too. Come to think of it, it's hard to find a bad road in that part of the country.

Craig- You should come on out! It's the next best thing to Homecoming!

Greg,
Glad you made it and are having a good ride. I hope to be there early afternoon tomorrow. I'll make a beer run once I get my tent set up ... I didn't have room this time for the fat tire.

Those PR2's are great. A little slower turning in but very stable and they last a long time - I've got 10k miles on mine. Not my favorite off road tire though. BTW I installed that XB9 primary mod a few months ago - LOVE it! Thanks again for the test ride last year.

See ya there

Hugh,
Thanks for the invite. Sounds like a great time. Looks like I'll be attending my Uncle's funeral over in Iowa City. Died this morning. 92 years old. Great guy but we all go eventually.
Only been in Georgia on a motorcycle once and that was back in probably 1978 on a Honda CB750 heading down to Daytona Beach from Camp Lejeune, NC when I was in the good ole Marine Corps. Road all the way down one day, stayed the night and then road all the way back the next. About 1200 miles round trip.

Well I set my tent up but rode back to ellijay. Seems some friends from Florida and N. Carolina showed up so I'm going to ride back over in the morning. This way I can carry more beer with me.

Man, gotta hit this one of these years.

Of course, with my touch-of-death the first one I'd attend would probably mean it was the last one.

Methed- Instead, you should come to March Badness (similar event, same location, in March). Maybe your bad luck would cancel out the rain we've had for the last 3 or 4 events!
