Just got a new set of meat on the Uly. I was getting ready to head to WV and looked at the syncs and the rear was shot. I did a search on here but did not find a whole lot. I am heading to the dragon this weekend with th old man (we will be there friday) and will report back how they did.

I had high hopes, but wasn't impressed with my Angels. I just replaced the rear after only 7k miles because it was punctured by a rock half the size of my pinkie nail
I doubt the rear would have made it to 10k miles anyway as it was rapidly showing signs of wear. I guess I just expected something like 15k miles since I easily get 12k from a Strada rear and the Angels feel like a harder compound.

My only real praise for those tires is wet weather handling. I felt 100% confident on those tires in the rain.
Hope your experiences are much better with the Angels!

I'm concerned about mine too. They are only one ply side walls and 2 ply tread belts according to the printing on the tires.

I emailed Pirelli a week ago with a few questions about the construction and asked why they don't put the info on their web site. Haven't heard from them yet. I didn't know about the single ply tire construction until reading it on the tire after unwrapping it before I mounted it!

I wouldn't have ordered them if I had known.......

I've got about 5,500 miles on my Angels since June. They only show about 30% wear so far, should easily make 10,000 or more. Great wet weather grip (ride in the rain often enough) and at least as good as the Diablo's were in the dry.
I wore off the sides of the Diablo's, there was still plenty of meat down the center. Was actually a raised lump that (as it began to show up on the front tire) began to cause the bike to 'track' over steel bridges, expansion joints and grooved roads. The Angel's are wearing nice and normal. I really like them.

Just replaced the angels that replaced the stradas with angels. 6.5 k from the stradas, 8.5k from the angels, mostly commuting/highway miles, so they get a little notchy as they flat spot. +1 on how they work in the rain.

I have been satisfied with my Angels. I got 8500 miles out of mine. The front could go longer, but I am replacing both at the same time. I had thought I would try the Michelin Pilot Roads, but I ended up sticking with the Angels.

My angel was not so durable. I was hoping for more life than the original strada but it did not go as far. Only 5000 miles mostly 2-up.I was not good at checking tire preasure during this period and when I replaced it presure was @ 26psi. How much of the miles it was low I don`t know but I`m keeping my pr2`s @ 42 and they are holding up much better.

As a follow up to my October 13 post, I have just received this reply from Pirelli:

"Hello

Sorry for the delay. We offer a E spec rear tire that has a 2 ply carcass and this is probably why you are asking this ply question. As you have note told us the bike you are riding we will ask you to please lease use the attached brochure to see the North American range, tire specs, suggested fitments including and other important technical data. Thanks for the e-mail and have any other questions please let us know after looking over the brochure. Have a great day.

Well I got back from WV and rode tha Angels hard and they handled very well. I like them better than te syncs and hopefully they will get better mileage (only 4700 on the syncs). Rode on cold roads and wet rides and I can say I am impressed. I will be out of country for 7 months starting next month so I won't be ableto give any more feedback until next summer.

Me and my dad are planning a trip to the Gand canyon, yellowstone, Mt Rushmore and whatever else we can find along the way. We plan on taking alot of side roads and staying off the slab as much as possible. Looking at least 5500 miles.
