Mine are coming off today. Great tires for the money. Stick good rain or shine. Very progressive feel in the corners. Over 9K miles on them and the rear is not down to the wear bars yet. It is very squared off from all the highway miles I put on it. The front looks barely worn, but I picked up a screw about 500 miles ago and plugged it, so I'm going to replace it too. Pilot Road 2's this time around.

I think Shinko may be discontinuing this tire and going with the 011 Verge as their Sport Touring offering. It would be a shame if they do.

That's the Shinko 009 Raven. My favorite on the ULY for the street and with about 25psi, an ok dirt and gravel tire.

Damn that is a good price... The Syncs I have will last me though this year, but may have to get a set of those for next year and just store them...

The tread pattern looks like they'd be good in the rain.

I am very pleased with my Shinko Ravens - long lasting - great street tire and surprisingly decent on dry dirt and gravel.

I live on a nasty dirt road when it's wet, I wonder how they would do. The Syncs give me ulcers....
I'm in a pinch right now with cash so I may give them a try.

I put a Raven on mine about 3 weeks ago. So far so good. It seems a little harder than the stock Pirelli which I changed out at 4600 miles. I hope to get more out of the shinko.

Yeah I heard that the Shinkos were "ditch finders"
Looks like they have improved over the years, judging from the lack of chicken strips and longevity.

I have no complaints over my stock scorpion synchs though.

But are they THICK enough to resist the rock penetration our paper thin Synchs suffer from? Euly

I spooned a front on last change will probably do a rear in 2k or so. Can't beat the price.

Picked up a nail today in my front, so I have a 120/70-17 Shinko 009 Raven on the way. I will now have a matched set.

Just ordered a set of Michelin pr2 from jake wilson for 220 bucks. Had the original strada on the front for 11500 plus, replaced the original rear at 6200 for an Angel st. Left the front strada on and the Angel rear didn`t go as far as the original strada and its toast.Starting over with the Michelin's May get another Angel rear to match the front I never used l8r, if they go on sale somewhere. Should have it rolling again before next weekend with the new units.
Not happy with the pirelli`s durability but they did stick good and I used them up pretty good past the center though the shinkos in the photos look more evenly tortured than I accomplished!

Mounted a set of Shinkos on my Uly last spring and am quite happy with them so far. Seem to stick well in the corners and don't go nuts in the rain grooves. My original Scorpions lasted a bit over 10K miles, but money's tight and thought I'd give these a try.

I've recently learned that Angel ST's are not supposed to be ridden on dirt. : )

After seeing the price of Scorpion Trails, These Shinkos might be my next set of tires. Especially since the longevity of my current set of Angels is looking to be less than what I was hoping. They're not wearing out incredibly fast, but I was expecting outstanding mileage in return for their lack of grip.

I was definitely more pleased with the Stradas that came on the Uly than I have been with the Angels.

I just put a set of the Shinkos on mine to replace the Scorpions.

Definatly a different feel, I don't trust them like I did the Scorpions for hard cornering, but they are still pretty new.

The front tire picks up a strange wobble every now and then, it's getting less and less as I ride it, so maybe it's just breaking in, time will tell.

They do take a while to warm up, probably because they are so thick.

I'm not 100% sold on these yet.

Got my pr2`s on and got about 500 miles solo already. The way the bike rolls into turns is different. Seems more neutral and does not resist from mid lean to more. Have not gone over as far as i did on the pirellis yet but have not gone road hunting yet!May not be as cheap as the shinko`s but they work on wet roads and hope the dual compound helps the longevity.

Installed a new set of the Ravins last week on my 09 Uly and I dont like the wondering feel of these tires. I sure hope that with some miles they settle down. I had been running Tomahawk's for the last 18,000 miles and they are very stable just like the origional Pirelli's and I was getting 6,000 miles out of the rear and 12,000 out of the front. As of now I would not recommend the Shinko 009 ravens.

The Raven went on today at 8800 miles. Picked up a nail into work on the stock Scorpion rear that's the most I ever got out of a rear Scorpion Sync.
I was going to change it today anyway...
