Well, my Uly sits lonely in South Carolina. The one I rented for my trip to Germany on the other hand got to have some fun. I was supposed to ride with friends today out of Stuttgart, but they ended up bailing on me with their H-D cruisers, so I went out solo (no reason to waste the day, right ?). Well, this is the beauty of being a biker of any kind.. you don't actually need to go to a specific location. I decided to point myself south and just ride. Yes, I did pick up some maps so I could get back, but aside from that, I just went south with no real destination, just a journey. My plan, or lack there of, was simply to get lost and when the sun dropped, figure out how to get back. So that's what I did. Here are a couple pics from the journey with the rented Uly (I think she likes me because she ran like a bat out of hell and I let her have some fun).
I did treat the Uly right and found a nice jeep trail to take her out on. Nothing major and no pics, just some dirt and gravel going up and down the mountain. I liked it. The twisties were awesome too. I really think the Uly got do take the trip it was designed for today. If not, oh well, I had a blast. |

Not sure why, but when I look at it the thread, I don't see the captions I put in. The first pic is when I saw the castle in the distance and decided I was going to see it. Second pic is from getting closer. Third pic is the view from the castle. The forth pic is a sign south of the castle about 20 kilometers. Who knew that Germany marks the motorcycle fun roads? Last pic is the requisite pic of rider with said rented Uly. I still have four days with the Uly before going up to Biketoberfest with the guys from Pegasus Race Team and the Man himself. I'll be posting more pics with the upcoming journeys. The Black Forest is coming up on Wednesday. |

Seems a good plan, keep posting. Black Forest is quite interesting as Saint Marie aux Mines in France and Baden Baden, worth to visit both. |

Dude, you should have posted you were going to be here. I and my Uly, and S3, are in Boblingen.I would have gone with you and even led a safari south to the Alps if that was your bag. The bike is from CPO Harley/Buell/Victory right? |

When you say "The Man himself" do you mean the founder and visionary? No jokes, pm me or post, I'd love to hook up and join the fun. |

Sorry Vecchio. I did post about going to the Buell Pegasus Experience next weekend in the quick board and that thread died a quick death. Yes, the Buell I'm riding is the one that is actually for sale from CPO. I have the bike until Wednesday at 5PM. I'm actually looking at taking another long ride on Wednesday before I have to get the bike back. We won't know until Tuesday night if we're going to be staying in the local area or heading to the Black Forest. Depends on what else we can do today when I get off work. |

Freiburg is the so-called "capital" of the Black Forest and a great town to visit and stay in. I remember some awfully twisty roads leading into and out of that town when I was there as a student. Unfortunately, I was on a tour bus, getting carsick. |

Thanks for posting. They don't build castles like that anymore. |

88b, those are some great pics. Thanks for adding them in. Nothing like a little extra motivation to make sure I get out there tomorrow. |
