I don't see any details on the wheels and bearings, some small cheap trailers have a top speed of 45mph due to cheap tires or bearings.

Also, how would you modify the hitch to fit a XB? Seems like it would be easier to make a whole trailer from scratch than modify this to fit the XB axle.

"He's got the vehicles reversed.""

that's funny!

I don't know a lot about trailers, but the tongue length and tongue weight would have to be
addressed. Also, I don't think I'd trust the tires or the bearings on that trailer - I'd replace both.

I have the750lbs version of that trailer for four years now and have no complaints. I have driven it from nj to florida and back fully loaded with no issues. Probably have put another 2k on it since then easy. Wheels and bearings have held up fine. It does say not to exceed 50mph I believe, but I did 70-75 the whole way to florida without a issue.
Just look it over periodically to make sure nothing comes loose. It serves its purpose very well for me.

I have the 1200 lbs version of that trailer which is a great buy. Drove it 5000 miles across the country on the Chinese bearings. About 2000 of which had the bike on it. Just keep em lubed. I did blow a tire, which I believe was due to it losing pressure. I've towed two bikes at a time at highway speeds for 90 miles stretches. It is a cheep reasonably well built trailer. Don't expect a trailer built like a tank, but it serves its purpose well and at a good price

I have owned the 8ft version of that trailer since 1997 and it has been a great trailer, brought home 6 bikes with it and used it as an extra with my lawn service for about 5 years. It's been all over the east coast.

I've owned two different models of the Harbor Freight trailers and both have worked fine for my needs. The best item to purchase for these trailers are bearing buddies. Always keep the bearings lubed and you'll be ok.

I have a neighbor with the 1200 lb version and a friend with the 800 lb version and have used both extensively.

Like any trailer, you have to keep an eye on bearings and tires. Just have an extra set with you, it would be an easy swap on the side of the road. Harbor Freight has the bearings, they are cheap, and will sell a whole wheel and tire for a spare.

The 1200 hauled the Uly and the XB9SX together from OH to NC just fine.

Like other harbor freight stuff, it's ugly, cheap, but functional. The neighbors lost the fenders LONG ago, and I had to do quite a bit of work on it cleaning up rust, rewiring, repainting, rewiring, and putting on a new deck... but that was after he used it for about 10 years and had it stored outside most of the time.

If you get one, I figured out (after the second try) a pretty nice setup for hauling two big bikes or three little bikes, but keeping it easy to convert back to just a flat open trailer. I have an idea for rev 3 that is even better (and really cheap).

I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. I put a trailer hitch on the Saab (a pretty stout little car with good towing capacity) and the money I saved on gas (versus borrowing my neighbors F150) has easily paid for the trailer.

Storing it is the headache...

I'd say the 1200 lb H.F. trailer is one the best investments I've made. I've abused it off road and used it behind my ATV. It's halled dirt bikes, street bikes, Big 4x4 ATVs, little ATV, a yard and a half of dirt, a boat, tumbleweeds/yard debris, made many a dump runs, etc.... I have gotten a ton of use out of it. I'd buy another one in a heart beat. The only issue I've had was they welded one of the axle shafts in crooked so I cut out the weld and re welded. It's about 10 years old with no other problems.
