When I bought the Uly, it had a severely worn Dunlop D616 on the front and the rear the PO put on a Dunlop Road Smart street tire I assume so he could sell it. The front was so bad that I had to replace it right away and put on a Pirreli Scorpion Sync. I was going to run one on the back at some point but changed my mind and wanted something a bit more off road minded. Picked up a D616 for the rear and had it put on this week. It has been pretty rainy here (imagine that, Oregon) so I couldn't get a ride in until this morning. Headed out for some gravel to scrub it in a bit. Plan on going up to the off road area (Browns camp for locals) this weekend to test it on some tougher spots. Anyway, here are a few pics of the ride.
Sorry for the pics, I was to lazy to take the big camera or even touch up these.

Getting there near Helvetia

Going up Skyline

Finally some gravel! This is where Skyline ends and goes down into Scappoose.

Nice field along the way

Big soccer ball?

Nice road

Bummer, no more gravel. But with the Uly, all roads are fun! Ripped this one pretty good.

Went into Scappoose, got some gas and reversed the route. Fun 2 hours.
Thanks for looking!
Nate

Thanks for sharing! Looks like it sucks to ride there almost as bad as it does in Tennessee!

I thought for sure you were going to show your bike up against a wall smoking off a new tire that you didn't like!

I am a little pissed right now. Basement Bobby, the guy who lives in my basement asked to borrow my Uly until he got his POS Suzuki to "The Mechanic" this week(last week) because his firckin chain was leaking! I wake up this morning to realize his bike is still in the garage and he is putting over 1500 miles a week on my bike. I HAD a new set of Pirelli Angels on it but not anymore, the frickin' back tire is wearing square! So I am a little pissed because someone is breaking in my new tires!

Can I finish the rest of your tire off. Then you can buy a new one to start over with.

On the gravel do you flat track with your foot down or just ride? I have been trying to flat track with my 08XT on the gravel. Sliding/skidding into a corner with the back brake then gassing out hard to power slid . I have had some High Side close call's but have never been offed yet!How do you Guy's do it.I think I am going to kill my self if I keep trying.

I always love seeing pictures, especially of Oregon, great places out there but i thought the rule was "don't tell anyone"....at least that is what they all told me when I was moving away....

Cheers-pete

Yama- I tend to flat track but it depends on the road. Did some yesterday but then I saw a deer come running down the hill in front of me so I took it easy after that!
