I recently replaced my belt for the first time and Etennuly (Vern) offered to help me via telephone. Although I was apprehensive having never done anything besides changing my oil, I ordered the belt and after American Sport Bike sent me a new one Vern and I agreed to start last Thursday. After several delays, stops and starts for various reasons I finally completed the job on Friday with his patient instructions and my perseverance. Even though I have thanked him personally I want to recognize him publicly here. BadWeb is made up of many great people and Etennuly is certainly one of them. Thank you Vern. | ||

Very nice Vern  I gotta meet Vern one day. I think I saw him at Homecoming, but I didn't feel right just walking up to someone and saying, hey Vern, you don't know me, but I'd recognize your windshield anywhere. | ||

I have been kind of busy and still a little sick on and off lately, so I haven't got into BBD the last few days. Then I come across this thread.  Wholly crap! I got to meet this guy Vern you all are going on about!  There is nothing that I can do in this BadWeB community to help someone, that is not learned behavior. I have received unexpected things in the mail starting years ago with a Polyheater set, to a Homecoming ticket, to unlimited help with problems that have come up, and so many many things in between over the years of being on here. It was not for the asking, but rather accepting a nice gesture, usually in trade for nothing. Always a fair deal or better. So when an opportunity arises where I can be of help, I am more than glad to do so. Bob, I know for a fact that I enjoyed helping you put your belt on more than you enjoyed doing the work. I say that because being in the repair business I have taught many people how to do at least part of the work methods required in my business. By that I mean that it is actually fun to help someone who appreciates the knowledge gained who is not standing in front of me on Friday waiting for a pay check, you know, the "I pay you to learn to work for me" syndrome.  I'm glad it worked out for you, and thanks, you made my day!  The rest of you guys.....I am always willing to share the Ben-Gay. It is just that if Neil is wearing it, he has a tendency to get tired of being passed around the campfire.  If I see you and have any idea of who you are I will come right over and introduce myself, I would expect the same from any of you. Also.....I do not smell bad or snore!  That is simply something they made up. | ||

Frank it was truly good to meet you at Homecoming, but seems like we were very short of time. Perhaps we shall meet again one day and make a ride of it! |
