Tootal,
Are you saying you felt the the suspension was better on the GC? I felt it was to soft when pushing hard on the street & to hard offroad with no adjustments on the forks.
I have not ridden a Uly yet, but on paper the Uly suspension should be better.

Todd, it just seemed like it was a great compromise. I could feel it just soaking up the bumps where the Buell isn't bad but it seems to be stiffer at the recommended adjustments and I'm playing around trying to soften it up a little. The GC was just jump on and ride. Adjustment is great but having something right from the factory is nicer unless you're racing. I must admit, we don't have many curves around here so wicking it up means a straight line! That's probably why we disagree. I rarely got it to a twisty road where I could really push it.

Tootal, No disagreement I wanted your opinion since you have owned both. I have thought about another GC but would need a aftermarket shock & upgrade to the 900ss heads. This would make the bike into what I need. On the other hand just buy the Uly, good suspension 100 hp, no wrenching. Guess I need to ride one.
Thanks for your time.

Save yourself the aggravation, pick something else, the Uly is a pile.

My Uly has had some problems as it is an 06. I have upgraded it and fixed all the short comings. That's one of the beauty's of it. It's just a damn shame they won't make more. I rode it on a two week trip from St. Louis to Colorado where I spent two weeks attacking twisties and jeep trails. Wow, this thing does it all. No bike does everything well but this is the best all around machine I've had.
