Has anyone installed a non-oem shock on their Uly? If so, what brand, and are you happy with it? Or, doesn't anyone make one to fit the beasts? Jeff |

After looking high and low for a replacement non-OME with no luck I put a used stocker on from fleebay for $100. The stocker is a really nice shock except for the non-rebuildable part. The few places that would rebuild it charged more than a new one from H-D. GOOD LUCK ON THE SEARCH. |

PM Chadhargis -- I think he did a Wilburs shock on his. I have also seen Ohlins shock specific to the Buell, but I don't know if they still make the model. |

Give these guys a call. http://www.worksperformance.com/html/home.html When the shock on my brand new Uly was bottoming out when loaded with me, my 4'-11" (100lb)wife, and luggage (and I pack pretty light), I decided the stock unit was not going to cut it. Price has prevented me from moving forward with the upgrade, but Works Performance does build a shock for Buells and they will build the shock to your specs. You tell them what you demand from the shock and they will build it to handle the job. I used their shocks back when I was riding BMW R90's and they were great units. In those days, nothing compared to them. |
