I saw a couple of Ulys with extra orange on them at Homecoming, not sure whose. One had the bags painted and the other had bags and wheels. Is the orange a Ford color? Were the wheels powder coated or painted? I need more orange for the woods, hunting season is just around the corner. Works well for the cagers too! |

Of course its a Ford color, hence how slow they are. |

It is not a Ford color, however since there is no paint code for it, that is an excellent color to start tinting from. It may even be close enough as it is. The powder coat on the wheels makes an excellent adhesion primer to paint over. Use a good urethane single stage or a base clear and it will last a really long time with little maintaining. Froggy is a hyper-miler on his Buells, thus he has no sense of speed. Actually Black is slowest Orange is fastest, and all other colors fall in between. At homecoming this is the only one I saw with orange wheels. Is it the one you meant?

Hey; I think I saw that bike somewhere... Anyway, you've got it a little mixed up. The jury is still out over which is the fastest color (I think it's leaning toward red). However, orange is doubtlessly the sexiest color.

Remember, there's a reason why they paint road graders orange. So they don't get run over by all the other vehicles on the road!

If you saw the bike with orange wheels (above), you probably saw my bike with the orange bags nearby:
Not sure what Vern mixed up for his bike, but on mine, I just hit the hobby shop and got some Testors plastic model spray paint, in Ford Grabber Orange. For $5...it's pretty damned close |

It is actually called 'Barricade Orange'. When you look at it on the highway though, Bob's barricades have much more red/orange color to them, and the Uly more matches the yellow stripes on the roadway(not reflective though). Still though it has been argued.....ORANGE is fastest. It was said, and it is so. |

I've said it before, I'll say it again - I love my orange Uly. And...if Orange is good enough for Erik - and for the factory to put it on bike # 100,000 - it's good enough for me |
