People are seriously delusional with their pricing as of lately. |

OK - I looked at NADA - You got any ideas? Money Too??? Hard to tell what happens when cold hard cash meets this fine of a ride. I might faint at the site of a few dollars. |

Conchop, I think that the person who buys your Uly will be getting a good deal. There are just some folks who always want something for nuttin'! |

Be realistic. NADA has never been accurate on motorcycle pricing. Buell is a nonexistent motorcycle manufacturer, and there are still new ones for the same price range at dealers. |

That doesn't really seem unreasonable for an '08. Send me a message if you're interested in selling the extra seat separately. |

NADA is a fine starting point. Everything is negotiable. Ultimately, the bike is worth what someone is willing to pay and what I'm willing to sell it for. Optioned out and compared to other sales of Uly's that will need work [ bearings and heat solutions ] this bike is good to go. I need to sell it for the roof, BUT, it won't hurt my feelings to keep her, and gin up the roof money elsewhere. Selling the bike is the fastest way to make things happen. I'll buy/build another one. Being an EX - dealer, I seem to be connected. |

Not a troll at all. Just think it's lame to advertise a bike in model specific forums. That's what the classifieds are for. And I think the bike is way overpriced. |

Wow, I certainly wish such a fine, conscientious soul was available to protect me from all advertising. Perhaps we could get your obviously valuable opinion for setting housing prices across the country as well... Maybe airline tickets, food prices, etc, too- and anything else you apparently have plenty of time for. Asking price is the value set by the seller, purchasing price is the value determined by the buyer. As neither, I don't think it's really a concern, eh? If the price is too high for you, check fleabay- I'm sure you'll find something you can afford... Troll on... |

I hate to see you go Conchop. It's going to get lonely around here soon. I've got a couple buckets to catch the rain water I can send you. |

Didn't really do a full listing here anyway, just a link. This forum is about info, that's all he gave. Maybe someone not really looking would see this and think about it, or tell a friend. Stop being a douche. |

I have been trying to sell my Harley and my son's Ducati on Craigslist. I listed the Ducati here too and the first post I got was someone saying it was way overpriced. I had used NADA to set my price as well. My feeling was that if the price was high the person could have PM'd me and let me know. Posting that the price was way high didn't help me sell it for sure. I have lowered the price of both bikes on craigslist and they still aren't getting much attention. Now is just not a good time to be selling bikes. |

CONCHOP, I'm no roofer, but if I was near by, I'd offer some free labor! Wish I could help you keep the bike, best of luck, hope another way becomes availible! |

when it comes to selling a motorcycle, there are three prices involved. (1) the amount you want for the bike (2) the amount you'll take for the bike (3) the amount you actually get for the bike of course everybody wants to get as much as possible in the sell, I know I certainly would, but the actual selling price is determined between the seller and the buyer. I hope he gets what he's asking for it and wish him luck on the sale because it gets harder to sell motorcycles at the end of summer because of all the people dumping their bikes prior to winter. |

Some guys are just trying to push prices down. I'm asking $6250 for a farkled '06. The guy said his research showed it was worth $5400.? I have not seen any clean low mileage Uly's with bags extra seats, windshield and other stuff go that low. I counter offered 5700 with 300 mile delivery but no response. Any thoughts? |

That is a fair starting price for such a nicely maintained late model Ulysses. As a real world relative point I sold an 06 Uly with 28K miles this spring for $6K. It had a few small extras, no bags and was well maintained. If you want top dollar in the motorcycle market you should sell in the Spring and Buy in the Fall. |

Don, It sounds like you'll have your roof put on in no time and still have the bike. Where I'm from buddies help buddies and ask nothing in return. Of course a few years ago when my buddies and I tried to put on my much needed roof I fell off it, broke an arm and it cost me 5 X what it should have (paid my own medical)! Ha Ha . Live and learn! Good luck to you how ever you pull it off. |

OMG! We have the buddy system here. A keg and a pizza can turn a lot of tricks. This is a big ass, chopped up long low rancher roof and I'm going with a metal reflector roof. Sometimes - most of the times - you can't beat a man at his own trade. I appreciate the engineering in the Buells - there are a few things I'd do differently [ bearings, elastomer mounts, styling], But when compared to other brands, the USA engineering comes through. The scary part is replacing this bike once I recover from the roof. There are many adventure touring bikes out there and they sure have their strong points. BUT - the Uly's have something they don't. The words balance, poise, and performance come to mind but it's hard to define, Now, it's like a last stand of a lost cause. The next Vincent??? I'll find another Uly one of these days, maybe 2 or 3 more. They are and will become more valuable and one of these day's, they will be a highly desirable collector. I really hate to sell her. Dripping roofs suck. |

Don; That sucks that your selling, sorry to hear it. I was going to offer to help with the roof until you mentioned a metal roof. Best to stick with a pro on that. I'll still come over for pizza and beer and watch them put it on if ya want! Hope to see ya at the WVBR #5 (maybe you can stay for the after dinner festivities) Good luck selling and roofing Tim |
