The other day I went for a 2 hour ride before stopping for lunch. I start the bike to get on my way and the check engine light came on. The bike did not run any differently, and when I jumper the diagnostic port, the light does not flash. When I start the bike the check engine light comes on after 3 or 4 seconds of running. Any ideas?

You have a stored code, could be anything.

If it's not blinking then it's not an emergency. Check your lights, break lights, fuses, etc..

If you have an ecmpspy then you could read the stored code history and clear the issue.
