Hello Uly friends,

The TB shaft on my 06 uly broke, so after trying to figure out some fix i decided to the the 07 TB,up to there all fine, i installed it with new seals that were a bit thicker than stock, all fine, put the bike together, and fired up the engine all looked fine, but it needed to heat up to working temperature, and i did a TPS reset, here the problem started: Idle bounces form 800 to 1200 revs, from idle up to 3000 revs bike works badly, over 3000 revs all is fine, and smooth.

Any suggestions on what gremlin I may have?

Thanks

Maybe you need several TPS-Reset for aproximate ???????

Spray WD40 to the TB for checking air leaks.

Check if the connections for the injectors are in the correct order.

You may have to let the ECM re-learn the system. Ride it around the block a few miles, it may straighten out after that.

06 and 07 use different TP sensors, the locating pin is not the same, might not be compatible with your 06 ecm.

i know the pin is different 90º rotated but the TB comes with the injectors and the TPS sensor all included, it all fits fine,
the bike runs so the injectors are connected in the right order, that i made sure, maybe giving it a good ride at 3500/4000 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              3500/ 4000      end_of_the_skype_highlighting be a good idea

Thanks for the replies, on monday i'll see the mechanic here see what he comes up with

the only learning the ECM does is the AFV. Resetting that (with ECMspy) to 100 takes care of that problem.

I would double check the TPS setting.
Go ahead and do it cold and you will be close enough to ride it a couple minutes to get to the point that cold startup is no longer in affect. then warm it up and do the reset again.

You can also watch ecmspy as a tool to watch the values of the sensors and TPS as it runs. Is the TPS jumping around without moving the throttle? What % (or was it deg) is your TPS showing when you have it idling correct? is it around 5 or 6?

I did the tps with the engine at running temperature around 160C i may have the cables to loose and it allows this issue to happen.

funny stuff, i took out the TB again and used new original seals, strange the spark plug cables look kind of loose, put it all together again, what a fool of me so it seems it was those spark plug cables.
