So I'm in a moral debate what to get:
PIAA Cross Country or the 525 Dual beam

Does anyone have any experience with either?

Go cheap!
They all break when you drop your bike.
Get yourself some $30 walmart specials.

PIAA are great lights - much better IMHO than Hella, etc.

But the PIAA Cross Country look like re-badged TrailTech's to me.

+1 on going cheap.

My aux lights are plenty bright, cost me about 20 bucks, the housing is the same color as the case/wheels.

I first went big, using the light bar and some 80$ off road lights. The lights were very bright but it just didn't look right, plus they covered the left side scoop.

I went with smaller lights and made my own brackets using some aluminum attached to the turn signal bolts. Looks right. Hooked them up to the bright switch using a relay and direct wiring to the battery.

+1 on the 1100X. They put out very substantial light - they're no HID's, but I think they're the next best thing.

10% more light for 500% more money????

not my way of new math!!

"cheapies" (hellas in my case) work great and haven't let me down yet, if i crash them, i can replace them easily.

My Uly came with a nice pair of PIAAs and they are very bright spots.
I have them aimed on either side of the hi-beam's light ball.

On my last Harley, I bought a $30 pair of 55w halogen driving lights at Vato Zone and mounted them on the fork tubes.
Very good low-budget fix.

More light is better at night.

I am running the LED Denali lights off Twistedthrottle.com. I am very happy with them and they come plug and play. 20 min to install after fabbing up my light mount bar. 299.99 gets you everything!
