Any of you live/ride in the Cincy,OH area?

I was talking to a few locals I met, a couple of which said they used to own motorcycles and asked them where one might go for a scenic ride on a bike in this area if one had one at their disposal? A few chuckled and said, "its Ohio, its mostly flat."

So I struck out on my own.

I was in the area off of I-71, exit 28 this past weekend and went out to the Ft. Ancient/Little Miami river area and found some nice roads around Morrow, OH, specifically rtes 123 and 350. And(!) I discovered that Ohio isn't entirely flat.

As luck would have it, I was in a Lincoln Town Car rental car so the joy of finding these roads was diminished by the fact that this FoMoCo Barcolounger numbs any sensation of driving. I think they wanted the driver to be able to multitask...nap and drive.

I really should travel for work more on my Uly

There are some very senic areas for sure around. When I drove up for a family wedding i went 275 and it was a very nice ride. Especially through Kentucky and into Ohio. Yes there is a lot of flat but 40 can be a nice ride from Centerville to Mason too (I used to go to Kings Island a lot!)

I grew up there (but started riding after I moved away). Spent my teen years bombing around the little roads down by the Ohio River on both sides of the border and west into Indiana, Route 50 East into the countryside, around Hocking Hills (which is more like southern/central Ohio), and down into Kentucky in the Red River Gorge/Dan Boone Forest area. It brings back great memories.

All fueled by LaRosa's, Skyline, and Mtn. Dew.

Thats exactly where I was going to say to go... it is right by my house in Lebanon. Just work your way along that river valley. Even out in the country is beautiful / relaxing. Out towards hillsboro is nice.

Northern Kentucky has some nice riding as well.

This corner of Ohio is actually pretty hilly.

I know Cincy isn't very close to Akron, but I had to go there two weeks in a row for work. I was going to ride the Uly but I ended up driving the work truck because two other guys met me there and I had to drive them around for the two weeks. It ended up being for the best though because when I got home and went out for a ride I realized that my rear bearings were going out (at 6800 miles!).
I was amazed at how many bikes I saw every day and heard from my hotel room each night and it was killing me that the bike was at home.
Problem is, I didn't see one Buell out of the hundreds of bikes I passed. I know there are Badwebbers around the area because someone had posted a meet at Quaker Steak and Lube in Youngstown not too long ago.
