I want to stuff more things under my seat, like raingear or little things but am afraid of messing up the BAS. Has anyone come up with a way of permanently bypassing this little device? I have no need for it. Just another gadget to leave me stranded. There must be a way to jumper the wires so as to fool the ECM that it's still there. Anyone done this yet? Greg

IIRC... you might be able to disable that with ECMSpy

Disable in ECMspy/Tunerpro, then remove it.

I dunno...I dislike the idea of a bike on its side RUNNING. Not like a carb that'll get fuel starved laying down and eventually die; EFI will keep on plugging away no matter the angle. I'd find a way to relocate it somewhere, personally...

If you have the comfort kit then relocate it back to the stock location if your bike is old enough. I never moved mine on my 06, although the dealer was supposed to they forgot. Good thing as far as I'm concerned, never had any problems.
