Need help: anyone know the size of our valve stems? I'm considering these:

...cuz I'd probably check my air pressures more often if it was easy.

PontLee77 and I have tried both types and any of them work on the Uly rim. The tread is too short. You have to machine the rim with a bigger hole from the inside (so the nut can 'bite' the valve)or make larger the tread of the valve.

A tire gage with a 90 degree valve end on it works pretty well also.

Yeah...I would think a right angle valve stem would make things more difficult...

Here is another possibility. I have not used it, but it is available in the states:

My Guzzi Norge has 90° valve stems. I love them. I want to put some on Terri's Ss.

I got some 90° stems at home, I never actually tried them yet. I will see how it goes.

Froggy, please post what you find because we all need this. Even the owners who don't know it yet.

Ok this sucks, not sure if its me or the valve stems I am using, but this isn't working. I got a spare set of XB rims laying here, I took the front stem off no problem, but I go to put in the right angle one, and because of the angle I cant get the thing in all the way. The bend is too much or something. If you look at the rim, you will see the part for the stem is "raised" a bit from the rest of the rim, it isn't flush. This extra thickness is getting in the way. I need to contact someone with more expertise.

Sounds exactly like what garrcano was saying above. Need to do some machining on the rim.

Bummer. I'd like them as well.

The problem you get with the adapters is the will move against the rim and damage it even if they are tight from the centrifugal force, however I know that the tyre pressure monitors like BMW have, have 90 degree valves,so they are available for our rims.
