I'm hoping someone with the Buell handle bar bag could take some measurements and let me know what they are.

If anyone has the touratech bag and could give me the dimensions that would be way cool too!

I'd like to buy a Buell one, but at around $35.00 shipped I can have a guy make one for cheaper. Made in the usa, and great quality.

Thanks

I know it's not what you're looking for, but I use the CH 2258 bag:

It's bigger, higher quality, and cheaper!

It is exactly the dimensions of the space between the crossbar and the handlebar of the stock bars.

Ok, best I can tell, it's not a hard object remember and not really rectangular, but anyway it is about 10 inches wide, 2 1/2 inched deep and 4 inches tall.

Oh, and I really like mine. It is handy and fits nicely in the space provided.

Thanks for the info Dyna!

Thanks for the link Andy! How well does it fit the bike? Up and down wise?

I have one of the Chase Harper bags and you would think it was made for the bike. Fits just right.

It does fit great. You can see a couple of pics in this thread:

If you;d like, I can take more pics when I get home from work (needed the cage to haul some stuff today, humph.)

Thanks Andy for the pic. Looking at the picture, it would be nice if the top loop was more forward, allowing the bag to sit "deeper" in the bars. Size / looks are great.

Agreed. I have toyed with the thought of mounting it "backwards", but I have thusfar been too lazy to remove and remount the bag : p

How about taking off the loop, and resewing it closer to the front?

I can do a lot of things very well, but sewing is beyond me!

I switched it around backwards last night, and it works great:

It does not block my view of the gauges.

How will you see if your clutch cable is blocking the odometer now?
