After my bike has gone over 15K and with the some recent work done, my gas mileage has gone up significantly. Before I was always averaging around 46-47mpg. Now I am averaging 50-52mpg and that's with no change in my driving style. When the bike isn't acting up, it runs like a champ too.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what really took place here. You see I have been chasing a problem (actually still have it) and have replaced a couple of components. The items that have been changed in the last couple of month are the ECM, Exhaust Valve Actuator, and installed the Comfort Kit.

Anyway, I want to post something positive.

Happy Riding....

Very cool, Snojet. That's great mileage. Thanks for posting it.

I have an '06 with 18k. I installed the comfort kit and have been tweaking my ECM with ECM spy. I get between 50-55 mpg regardless of riding style. I just installed some new tires (pilot road 2s), so we'll see if my mpg changes now. I doubt worn tires would really affect mpg that much (less rubber = smaller wheel diameter = inaccurate mileage calculated by ECM), but it could.

Sync tires,20-50 amsoil/K&N air cleaner/Erik Buell Racing ECM/Drummer exhaust..The bike ran absolutely flawless the whole trip...

I have an 05 XB12R, and the same thing is happening. I'm knocking on the door of 13K miles, and my mileage is going up too. I got 46-48 last season, and am getting 52 this season. I haven't had to do anything but standard maintenance. Knock on wood.
Froggy, what kind of mileage can you get on a Uly?

60-65MPG is normal for me, my peak is 75. My CR has previously peaked at 54mpg, I am sure I can do better this summer : )

'06 XB12X @ 7.5K (a baby). 51.2MPG average over a four day trip covering over 1600 miles. Lots of third and fourth gear riding - best mpg between fill ups 57.2, lowest 47.44. Grin factor and mpg seem to rise together

Borrowed a rear wheel for the weekends ride and got a new personal high of 48.6 mpg on Sundays ride 2-up. Bike is back at shop and wheel is returned waiting for an 2010 replacement
