Stock XB12X, 5000 miles. stock airfilter, ecm, muffler.

The hardest part for the ECM spy deal was getting the driver for the USB connector. After I got that figured out it was pretty easy going through the manual. I reset the TPS and my AFV.

It's like a new bike! Holy crap! Where did this power come from! It's lost some vibration when running like the cylinders are firing more in sync, it idles real nice and starts up super quick.

My AFV was at 92 when I started. I did the TPS reset but instead of 4.6% I have it at 5.3% which puts the idle around 1043. It's higher than the recommended I'm guessing not all bikes are the same in this respect?

Anyway - I had the ECM spy disc (older version) and manual from the previous owner along with the ECMspy cable. There is a thread about a "square idle" from a user on here and I can't remember the name right now.

When I fetch the EEPROM and click into overview the ecmspy gauges go to real time as in I see the needle moving on the rpm gauge and then they go to nothing. Shouldn't it be in real time all the time when hooked up to a live ignition?

I'm just more interested in how these maps actually work and maybe try out this square idle map.

Thanks badweb for all the help!

Those numbers are spot on. It should be 5.3% and 1000-1100 idle.

Thanks guys! I was looking for that buelletinboard topic last night to!

I used to have a 05 Yamaha Warrior with a power commander and this software is somewhat similar.

Now my better half is going to say I'm having an affair with my bike again.

They are about as similar as a Blast and a Busa. One lets you adjust your fuel maps, one lets you adjust everything, run diagnostics, disable/enable functions, and allows datalogging. The sky is the limit. Oh, don't break out your laptop near a bunch of Buellers, they tend to flock around and beg for TPS resets. : )

I'm still reading up on the datalogging stuff. I have megalog viewer downloaded. Funny thing is I saved my stock map but when I go to fetch it - it does get it with no problem but the file isn't recognized by my computer? Odd

It seems every chance I get I'm messing with this software. Now I'm going to smooth out my idle per Gemini's method from buelletinboard. Wish me luck or give me some pointers!
