And would be delighted to buy from a Badweb sponsor. Search isn't helping me much, have you any recommendations?

The only sponsors that sell tires as far as I know are the HD dealers.

Skifastbadly-, I have a used set of Syncs that still have a fair amount of life left in them. I know they aren't new but can get you by if waiting for something else. I just installed some Trails and was going to keep the Syncs for back up, but am willing to part with for a fellow badweber.}

Liv, that's a great and generous offer, but I wouldn't put you through the bother. I can shoot down to my local HD dealer and pick one up, I was just wondering if there was a cheaper source that would save me the sales tax, maybe give me a bit of a discount, and help out a vendor who's sponsoring this site. Keep yours, but please post your reaction to the trails vs. the syncs. In 5000 miles, I'll need new fronts AND backs, and that's when I'll be thinking about changing shoes.

My Syncs have about 4400 miles and still have a fair amount of tread left before they hit the wear bars, I am easy on tires though. The only reason I changed them now is I am leaving 9on about a 4000 ride in and out of WA, ID, MT, WY and SD for 9 days and I don't think they have THAT. much life left in them

My experience with the rear Syncs his weekend was that once you hit Lincoln's hair, they go fast. 1k miles took them down to the bars. They were good for 7.5k miles.
New Distanzias arrived while I was gone. Be riding a lot of dirt the rest of the year.

Itileman - Your staying away from tornadoes aren't you. We will be in your riding areas in a couple of weeks.

Took me a moment to figure out what you meant by "Lincoln's Hair". I have also noticed that the second half goes way faster than the first. I'm sure somebody knows why, there's a different compound deeper in? I get almost exactly 5K before I hit the wear bars. I've never gone past the wear bars, cause I'm a big chicken.
