Semi short version. 2006 Uly. Has race ECM. Ran very low on gas. Gassed up & one second or less after restarting front cylinder stops firing. Has good spark. Home on one cylinder. Among other things I pull injectors & after time & messing with, trying to clean & adding injector cleaner I get fuel to squirt from front injector. (This was long ago, so, sorry, can't recall if it was not working at first, not even sure I tested it at first.)
Both cylinders now firing but gutless, missing, stalling below 3000 RPM. Or was it 2000 RPM? Runs great above that.

Take/ride to dealer, TPS reset? They can't figure it out for days. No codes. Buell tech finally comes back, tests fuel pressure. They say it's low, again, forgot what the figure was, 32~39 lbs?, & should be~51. They say I need a new fuel pump.
Me: "Then why does it run great at higher RPM?"
Service writer: "Pump is putting out more pressure @ higher RPM"
Makes sense before I realize it's an electric pump & voltage is good. But thinking I hurt the pump via the less than 1/10th gallon in the tank I order new $360 pump.
Ride home now on one cylinder again. WT....!? Rode in on two.

I install pump. Still dead front cylinder. Good strong spark, compression. Clean plug is dry. ??
Pull injectors & fuel squirts from both.
Near as I can tell the patterns look the same, but they both appear to squirt at the same time. Anyone know if that's normal? Don't seem right to me, but maybe the pulses are just too close together for me to tell.

Not happy with the Uly, to many problems. Love my '96 S1 & it's 10 times easier to work on.
I have searched high & low in here , no luck. I do not know the electronics on this bike & compared to the S1 manual, the Uly manual sucks..
Thoughts on solution to dead cylinder? Not keen on taking it back to the dealer.

Tom_s, I know this may sound crazy, but completely remove the front spark plug wire and inspect it. I had that problem with mine just the weekend prior to Homecoming. When I first pulled the plug and tested it there was spark at the plug but when I put the plug back in the cylinder, it would only fire on the rear cylinder. I finally removed the plug wire completely and discovered a burn through spot that was causing the problem. $9.95 later the problem was solved and I rode it every day last week at Homecoming. Just take a good look at the plug wire.

Not crazy at all, Don. But the plug & the plug wire look real good. Gonna try a different plug next, but doubt it will change things. : ( Thanks.

Have you switched the stock ecm back in to check its not the race ecm thats faulty?
Possible that you picked up some water in the bottom of tank, maybe some injector cleaner to be sure any water is cleared.
Maybe swap plugs to iridiums and check resistance of leads.

Wish I could. While doing some warrantee work the Buell tech screwed up one
of the stock ECM terminals, the single center one with a white wire. Ripped
it right out of the ECM.
No water, tank drained when swapping fuel pump. Injector cleaner tried on
1st go round. Gonna try plugs when I can get them. Spark is strong. Thanks.

Might be a good idea to check compression on that cylinder. You've got spark and fuel; lack of air (compression) would seem to be the only thing left.

Hopefully it just turns out to be a bad plug.

Got lots of compression. Plug looks great. Only 12500 miles on engine. Haven't got a new one yet.
Wonder if the ECM is telling it to fire or squirt gas at the wrong time.
