My wife, son, and I left Homecoming early Saturday (yesterday) and made it back to Ralston, Nebraska the same day, a bit over 500 miles. 2 Uly's and a Sportster and zero problems, imagine that. A total of just under 1200 miles trouble free but sore arsed miles per bike.

On the way back we had a crazy cigarette smoking blue haired emphysemic pass us going about 80 mph without regard to the oncoming traffic. All the oncoming cars and trucks had to flee via the shoulder. The old biddy seemed to care less and just kept passing willy nilly at high speed.

Then within a few miles of Missouri Valley, Iowa we got rerouted off US Highway 30 by the local fire and rescue because of a huge accident. Turns out a semi rear ended some stopped cars that were attempting to turn left off the highway. The semi pushed one of the vehicles into the path of an oncoming vehicle and one person was killed. Trucker wasn't paying attention, probably texting or sleeping or something.

Donald,
It was great meeting you also. Pretty neat to be around so many other Buell enthusiasts. Have you made it home yet? If not, then ride safely because there are plenty of crazies out on the road this summer like always.

The weird thing about this trip was that we never rode in the rain even though there was plenty of it to go around. Now that we are home, around here it has been raining practically non-stop.

Sounds like the accident my brother stopped for.
He was one of the first on the scene.

Didn't get all the details but it sounded real bad.

I got wet, very heavy rain in Omaha, spotty the rest of the way to Denver.
I rode thru the middle of the most amazing lightning storm I've seen since riding out a Cat5 hurricane on the Gulf Coast.

Hope everybody made it home safely.

Zack
